This private reference site is not a government office. We cannot confirm who is in custody, arrange a release, post bond, or obtain an official booking record. Contact the appropriate public office below for those services.

Gogebic County Records Routing

Gogebic County does not publish a public online inmate roster or recent-bookings feed. For a possible current custody question, start with the jail and sheriff. For a historical booking record or photograph, send a written request through the county’s FOIA process to the county clerk’s coordinator. A phone call can help identify the right office, but it is not a valid FOIA request.

The county requires a written request and publishes a five-business-day response framework. A request may be sent by its form, letter, email, fax, mail, or in-person delivery. Identify the person, a date or narrow date range, the Gogebic County Jail or other likely custodian, and the exact record requested.

Choose the Office That Holds the Answer

Different public systems answer different questions. A jail inquiry concerns possible present local custody. A FOIA request concerns an identified record. A court record supplies case progress and disposition, while MDOC OTIS concerns state prisoners and people under state supervision.
